Dr. Amy E. Black (Professor of Political Science, Wheaton College) has taught American Politics for more than three decades. She believes wholeheartedly that politics can and should be a means for loving God and neighbor. She loves training future leaders for public service and following the amazing ways that God calls her former students to serve. Even though she has devoted her career to helping people understand American politics more clearly, she is deeply troubled by the anger, vitriol, and hatefulness thatcharacterize so much of public discourse. In writing, speaking engagements, and teaching at churches, she calls on Christians to reject divisive and combative politics, embracing instead political engagement marked by the fruit of the Spirit.
